One of the most wonderful times of the year in New York City is the holiday season. Every corner in the city has a Christmas feeling; the holiday decorations, the lights, stunning shop windows decorations, and beautiful colors in red and green become part of the amazing scenery of the metropolitan city. This year, the weather has been surprisingly amazing with the highest temperatures in decades, which has encouraged us to fight the crowds more often to feel part of the magic of the holidays in New York City.
One of the challenges to play tourist in the city is the long walking distances; for that reason, my legs play an important role when it comes to dressing up for this daring adventure (especially when you can’t leave your heels at home). One of the main concerns is dressing up acordingly without sacrificing style; therefore, I always wear tights underneath to keep my legs and feet warm for the weather. This time, I could show off my legs with a flirty skirt and tights from L’eggs; which felt very soft, with an amazing support for a great shape, and graduated compression to keep my legs energized for long hours of walking around the big apple; which makes my city touring more enjoyable and legs pain-free (double win!).
Every year, playing at being tourists is a tradition for my husband and me, either showing the city to visiting friends, relatives or simply to remember beautiful moments spent in this amazing city in which we met.

Uno de los momentos más maravillosos del año en la ciudad de Nueva York es la temporada Navideña. Cada rincón de la ciudad tiene una sensación de la Navidad; los adornos navideños, las luces, impresionantes decoraciones de las vitrinas, y hermosos colores en rojo y verde pasan a formar parte del increíble paisaje de la ciudad metropolitana. Este año, el clima nos ha sorprendido de una forma increíble con las temperaturas más altas en décadas, lo que nos ha animado a luchar contra las aglomeraciones con más frecuencia para sentirnos parte de la magia de la ciudad de Nueva York.
Uno de los retos para jugar a ser turísta en la ciudad son las largas distancias de caminatas a pie; por esa razón, mis piernas juegan un papel importante a la hora de vestirme para largas horas de pie (sobre todo cuando no se puede dejar los tacones en casa). Una de las principales preocupaciones es vestirse de acuerdo a el clima sin tener que sacrificar el estilo; por lo tanto, siempre me pongo pantimedias para mantener mis piernas calientes para el clima templado. Esta vez, pude lucir una falda usando unas medias panty L’eggs; que se sienten muy suaves, con una compresión graduada que mantienen mis piernas energizadas para largas horas de caminata por la gran manzana; lo que hace que mi día de turista sea más agradable y libre de dolor en los pies (doble ganancia!).
Todos los años, jugar a ser turistas es una tradición para mi esposo y yo, ya sea mostrando la ciudad a amigos que están de visita, familiares o simplemente para recordar momentos hermosos vividos en esta hermosa ciudad en la cual nos conocimos.

Outside the Plaza Hotel (Known for the movie “Home Alone”), this is a must visit at the Central Park Area / Afuera del Hotel Plaza (Muy conocido por la película “Mi pobre Angelito perdido en Nueva York”, este es una de los lugares que tienes que visitar en la area del Parque Central.
The 78-foot Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree and The Ice Skating Rink are some of the most wonderful places at Christmas time / El árbol Navideño de 78 pies de altura y la pista de patinaje del Rockefeller Center son una de los lugares más maravillosos en la época navideña.
The Radio City Hall Christmas Espectacular is a traditional performance which combines music, singing, dancing and humor played exclusively at the holidays season at the big apple. / El teatro ” Radio City Hall” y sus musicales combinados por canto, baile y humor son muy tradicionales en las fiestas de fín de año en la gran manzana.
You can’t leave without indulging the famous New York Pretzels or Hot Dogs as you walk around the big apple. You will also find many souvenirs shops around the Central Park Area. / No te puedes ir sin saborear unos “Pretzers” o unos “Perros Calientes”, así como también encontrarás muchos puestos de regalos en la zona del Parque Central.
Central Park is on of my favorite spots for long walks! / El parque Central es uno de mis sitios favoritos para caminar por largas horas.
