Today, I’m going to talk about the importance of a hairbrush. One of the steps to achieve a great hairstyle starts with a hair preparation; therefore, the right hairbrush to your hair type or to achieve great results is important as part of the styling process. There are many different types in the market, but first, you have to identify your hair type and needs in order to get the right hairbrush. For this reason, I went to my closest Walmart; my go-to destination for all of hair accessories and styling tools. I found a great selection of Goody Brushes. They are my must-have to achieve a great look without compromising style. I selected three of my favorite brushes considering my lifestyle and hair type:
1. Goody Straight Talk Porcupine Hot Round Brush: I blow-dry my hair for a lifetime, and this brush is indeed one of my must-have at my hair routine. The size is perfect to blow-dry my hair in small sections. It leaves my hair so smooth and shiny with a great volume.
2. Goody Clean Radiance Paddle Brush: If you want healthier looking hair this is the brush you need at your hair essentials. It massages the scalp and work through the hair to reduce buildup and restore your hair’s natural moisture balance. You will see the difference, and it’s amazing to use it before going to bed for a relaxing scalp massage, and to prepare your hair for the next day.
3. Goody Detangle It Vent Brush: One of the cons of having long hair is the easy tangles after washing my hair. Since I was little I have a very sensitive scalp (ouch!); for me, finding a gentle brush for basic detangling and styling is a necessity. I find it easier to detangle in sections working from the center of the tangle out. The flexible bristles gently work through tough tangles with less snags and pulls. For perfectly smooth hair, I selected the brush with boar bristles to reduce flyaways and frizz. This type of brush (Vented brush) also improves drying time.
I’m not a hair expert, however; I have created an easy hairstyle that only take 10 minutes. I have started from scratch, using my favorite hair tools in order to get a smooth and shiny finish. 1. After a blow-dry using the Goody Straight Talk Porcupine Hot Round Brush which leaves my hair so soft and shiny with the perfect volume, I start detangling my hair from the roots to the ends using Goody Detangle It Vent Brush. I find it so easy to detangle my hair before starting the hairstyle.
2. I use Goody Clean Radiance Paddle Brush . It works as a hair moisturizer achieving a healthier looking hair, an important step to obtain great results.
3. I separate my hair in two sections to start creating a sidebraid.
4. I start braiding my hair crossing each small section of hair from side to side until the end, finishing up with a hair elastic.
5. I separate the braid, stretching both sides making it look thicker. The braid doesn’t have to look perfect, the messier the better.
6. I fix the loose hairs at the front with a curler iron.
7. For a night look, I twist the braid all the way around.
8. I secure it with a couple of bobby pins.
9. Finally, I fix the loose braid hairs, and ready for a night out!
