A week ago, I had the pleasure to be part of a beauty panel hosted by Donna Alfano, and co-hosted by beauty bloggers and beauty industry experts at Neiman Marcus Short Hills Mall, New Jersey. It was a day of fun, and beauty talk conversations where we shared our product recommendation, tips, interesting beauty topics, and advice by wellness and fitness gurus.
So, this is how my day started to get ready for the event. First thing before my appearance, I stopped by the Dior makeup counter to have a makeup touch-up by the talented Carlos Olmeda Dior makeup Artist and best Dior makeup Artist 2014 Winner. I couldn’t be in better hands to get an insight of the best Dior beauty products and advice. I already had a full makeup, but he recommended some amazing products that will help me to look better on the stage.
See below how Carlos transformed my makeup look from great to perfection with the right products:
Eyes: He wanted to emphasize my eyes. Since I’m not into false eyelashes (my eyes get so uncomfortable and irritated when I put on lash extensions) Carlos recommended the ‘Diorshow Maximizer 3D Triple Volume Plumping Lash Primer‘. My lashes not only appeared fuller and smoother, but the formula has a deep conditioner that makes the lashes stronger and beautiful! Then, he applied a couple of coats of the ‘Dior Show Mascara‘ (090 Pro black). A great mascara is a must to transform any makeup look, and accentuate the eyes.
Lips: Due weather conditions, and the fact that I was a bit anxious the days before the event, my lips were SUPER dry and flaky. Carlos applied a ‘Lip Glow Pomade Color Reviver Oil-Gel‘ on top of my lipstick. My lips felt instantly relieved, moist and plum! It boosted my confidence in a second, because I was so concerned about speaking with dry lips. ouch!
Skin: My favorite foundation is Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk which is a buildable light-to-medium coverage that makes my skin looks radiant with a dewy finish. Once again, Carlos worked his magic, and applied ‘Capture Totale Dreamskin Perfect Skin Cushion Foundation‘ which is a perfecting skin care powder compact. Instantly, my skin felt smooth, fresh, revived, and it minimized the appearance of pores. It’s ideal to keep it in my purse for touch-ups during the day. It also has SPF 50 which is perfect to protect my skin against the UV Rays on a daily basis.
