Tips on how to care for your under-eye skin

Do you know how important is to take care of your under-eye area? The under-eye skin is so thin and delicate. It’s also one of the first areas of your skin to show the signs of aging.  Have you had someone say to you “Are you okay? “You look tired today”. Taking care for the skin under your eyes is so important as the skin around the eye area is the most sensitive on your face. Never under estimate the power of a good eye cream in order to prevent undesired fine lines, improve your skin conditions or maintain your under-eye skin youthful and fresh. It’s never too early or too late to incorporate an eye cream into your skin care regime. You will thank yourself later.

Considering my eyes as one of my best features on my face, I always give my eyes an extra care. It’s important to maintain my eyes hydrated, especially in the Winter season when I get so concerned about the dryness around my under-eye area. A month ago, I got my hands on the VIIcode T2 Oxygen Eye Cream and after a few applications I become obsessed. It treats the most common skin concerns; like dryness, puffiness, dark circles, just to name a few. It comes in an adorable little cute bag that holds the little jar like a piece of jewelry. It’s so creamy that my eyes feels instantly moisturized and youthful. I have also noticed that my skin doesn’t get irritated or itchy after the first uses, as it happened before trying a new skin care product. I apply it twice a day all over my eye area including my eye lids up to the crease in order to get more benefits out of it. The non-greasy formula doesn’t affect my make up application, as it absorbs so quick into my skin– leaving it so moisten, smooth, and ready to apply my makeup. I’m so happy with the results, and I have the peace of mind that I have given my under-eye skin the best care.

Now, I want to give you some tips on how to care for your under-eye skin:

  • Avoid harsh cleansers. Be gentle when removing your eye makeup. Never rub too harsh, or use products that are not safe to use under the eye area.
  • Protect your under-eye skin with Sunscreen. The under-eye area is very thin and sensitive, making it so prone to skin damage. Be mindful when you are exposing your skin under the sun.
  • Wear broad spectrum sunglasses. You can be fashionable and protect your eyes and surrounded skin against the harmful UV & UVB rays, especially during outdoor activities.
  • Make an eye cream part of your skin care regime. Give especial attention to your under-eye skin area. Choose products that are designed for eye skin.
  • Eat healthy and drink water.  Stay away from foods high in sodium to avoid puffiness. Drink enough water to keep your body hydrated.
  • Get a good night sleep. I’m a big fan of a good night sleep to keep one looking youthful and beautiful. Sleeping well is essential for repairing the skin.
  • Minimize the use of cellphone and computer. Spending too much time looking at the computer screen or cellphone makes your eyes tired.  Use your cellphone or computer wisely.

Do you pay enough attention to your eye area? Do you have an eye cream as part of your skin care routine?
